Illegal pipeline
A pipe 30 mm in diameter was dug into the ground to a depth of one meter; In all, law enforcement officials demolished about 30 meters of a hose leading to the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
The border guards of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky detachment on the state border with Moldova found underground communications in Ukraine that could be used for illegal activities, especially for smuggling alcohol, the State Border Service in Ukraine said in a statement.
Border guards and SBU representatives found an underground plastic pipeline. A pipe with a diameter of 30 mm was dug into the soil to a depth of one meter. In all, law enforcement demolished about 30 meters of the hose leading to the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
“The identification of similar pipelines indicates that, as a rule, they are used to pump alcohol. However, the border guards found that there were no traces, including alcohol, from the pipe. The State Border Service said in a statement that law enforcement is investigating whether the found pipeline could be used for illegal purposes.
The communication took place in the direction of Serpnevo (Ukraine) – Basarabiaska (Moldova) on the border of Moldova from an abandoned building in the territory of Ukraine. The discovery was reported to Moldovan colleagues.
