Cadiz’s surprise defeat to Barcelona after a serious error by Stegen

In the eighth minute, center-back Oscar Mingisa led the ball in the direction of his team’s goal, but the Catalans were late and were touched by goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen’s but Cadiz striker Alvaro managed to put it into the net.

Barcelona equalized in the 57th minute when Cadiz defender Pedro Alcala converted a cross from Jordi Alba into the back of the net. Goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma surprised.

Cadiz regained the lead six minutes later. Alvaro Negredo took advantage of a mistake from Barcelona defenders Alba and Klimo Lingli.

Alba threw the ball towards Lingley but the French defender could not control it and began to put pressure on Negredo Ter Stegen, who appeared as a substitute a minute ago, to resist the attempt to clear the ball.

Barcelona ‘s fourth defeat of the season came in seventh, with 14 points from 10 games, while captains Atletico Madrid had 12 points and Ronaldo Koman’s none of his last four away matches.

The Dutch coach was critical of his players’ behavior.

“It’s a pity we lost because of such a goal, it’s a mistake we can not expect from this team. This mistake shows that we are not playing carefully,” he said.

“The team’s behavior was not good tonight. I’m very disappointed.”

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has said the Catalan people have lost several points this season for personal mistakes.

“You can’t question the team’s behavior or commitment, but when we start, like today, the game is very difficult,” he added.

Cadiz, who won his first home game since returning to the First Division, overtook his Catalan opponent to finish fifth with 18 points. The Andalusian team beat Real Madrid 1-0 at the start of this season.

Despite being relieved during last week’s match against Hungary’s Franco-Faros in the Champions League, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi put on a disappointing display, and his fellow Argentine Ledesma and Cadiz goalkeeper repeatedly disappointed.

Ledesma sent a powerful shot from Miralem Pijnick in the final minutes, as well as a long range shot by Antoine Griezmann.

Bobby Adekani went it alone but failed to score on Ter Stegen.

The Andalusian defense faced another big win in their first season in the first division in 14 years.
