SP reported 43,000 deaths and 1.28 million corona virus cases

The state of Sao Paulo recorded 43,015 deaths and 1,287,762 new corona virus cases this Sunday (6).

Of the 1,141,481 cases diagnosed with COVID-19, 138,352 were hospitalized and discharged.

The occupancy rate for ICU beds is 62.2 percent in Greater Sao Paulo and 55.5 percent in the state. As of 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the number of inpatients was 10,334, 5,950 in the ward and 4,384 in the intensive care unit.

Death profile
Fatal victims included 24,732 (57.5%) men and 18,283 (42.5%) women. Mortality is concentrated in patients 60 years of age or older, with 76.7% of deaths.
Looking at the age range, it was found that the mortality rate was higher between 70 and 79 (11,122) and between 60 and 69 years (10,162) and 80 and 89 years (8,823). Other groups include: 10 (54), 10 to 19 (75), 20 to 29 (346), 30 to 39 (1,217), 40 to 49 (2,781), 50 to 59 (5,538) and over 90 years. (2,897).
The major risk factors for death were heart disease (59.9% deaths), diabetes (43.3%), neurological diseases (10.9%), kidney disease (9.4%) and pneumonia (8.3%). %). Obesity (8.2%), Immunity (5.5%), Asthma (3.1%), Liver disease (2.1%), Hematology (1.7%), Diamond Syndrome (0, 4%), Pureperium (0.1%), Pregnancy (0.1%). These risk factors were found in 34,527 people who died of COVID-19 (80.3%).

The age limit for most cases is 30 to 39 years (303,679). Others: Under 10s (32,703), 10 to 19 (63,745), 20 to 29 (221,503), 40 to 49 (263,597) 50 to 59 (191,519), 60 to 69 (116,722), 70 to 79 (58,720), 80 to 89 (27,201) and more than 90 (7,305). The other 768 cases have no age limit.
