Bahrain on Friday agreed to use the Fischer-biotech vaccine immediately against the growing corona virus, making it the second country to give the green light for adoption after the United Kingdom.
Mariam al-Jalahma, chief executive officer of the National Health Regulatory Authority, said in a statement issued by the Bahrain News Agency: The Authority held extensive meetings with the company’s team and its representatives in the United States to answer all inquiries submitted by the Authority.
They did not specify the schedule of the planned vaccination program.
Fischer Gulf Group President Lindsay Dichi said, “Today in Bahrain, another historic moment in the war against the corona virus (Kovid-19) represents an emergency license. This license has been a goal we have been pursuing since we first declared that science will succeed, ”Bahrain News Agency was quoted as saying.
The Kingdom, which reported more than 87,000 infections, including 341 deaths, agreed in November to use the Chinese company Sinopharma vaccine.
