Officials in Punchstown are monitoring the condition of the star-studded John Durkan meeting after heavy snow covered the track on Sunday morning.

Brendan Sheridan, the course’s clerk, released an update at 8.20am and said: “The fog is very bad right now. You can not see the final fence from the winning post.

The seven-race card starts at 12.35 and describes the ground heavy.

Allaho has already garnered support for the John Durkan Memorial Chase, one of ten matches to air on ITV4 on Sunday.

In his final start to the third in the RSA Chase, Allo was one of only four Grade 1 runners for Willie Mullins to cut 4-1 (from 9-2) with Bet 365, although 9-2 is still available at other institutions.

For the third year in a row, Mullins is the common 9-4 favorite to win his seventh John Durkon victory, while Min and Gordon Elliott reduced Sangro to 13-2 (from 6-1).

Chackon Power Zoe, a partner in the Hilly Way Chase (1.25) of the Grade 2 Kerry Group in Cork, was handed a strong ride book for Mullin‌s in Punctown, Poland Town.

Leading champion chase competitor makes his debut after winning the Dublin Chase in February in one of four races from the Mallow track shown on ITV4.

In addition to the four matches in Punchestown, two matches from Kelso will include Persimon Holmes Scottish Borders National (3.20).

The ground in Kelso was changed to soft (soft from good, soft in places) on Sunday morning.
