The benchmark Sensex closed over 100 points at 5%

Opening the market The BSE benchmark Sensex had lost nearly 100 points in early trade on Tuesday. The Nifty is at 10,950 mark.

Automobile, banks, energy, IT, metal, and Nifty Pharma index rose. The benefits of Sun Pharma lead to the Nifty Pharma charts. The Nifty Mid-cap index fell 0.25 per cent.

The Sensex was down 98.12 points to close at 36,480.84 and the Nifty was down 35.90 points to 10933.00. When 178 shares collapsed, 209 stocks fell, 38 stocks remained unchanged.

Sun Pharma and Kotak Mahindra Bank also gained. Axis Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hindalco and TCS were the major losers.
