According to the Center for Disease Control National Center for Health Statistics, 70,000 died in 2017. 10 per cent increase over the previous year.
Suicide jumped 4 percent.
The reality is that the two causes of death are declining by one third.
The CDC director Robert Redfield said, "This intense stance is a Wake-up call, even more Americans than us.
For Americans, life expectancy is 78.6. Cancer is still continuing with the CDC report, even though the amount of drugs has increased.
